The fruit/seed period of the Sudangrass runs from Summer to Summer. It si propogated by Seed and has a bloom period in Early Summer.

In areas with an annual rainfall of between 17 and 40 inches, you might find the Sudangrass, which is Introduced to PA.

Known as having a High drought tolerance, the Sudangrass (Sorghum bicolor ssp. drummondii) is in the Grass family. It requires a minimum temperature of 57°F.

Not every plant species listed as a food forest candidate in Pennsylvania will thrive in your specific climate or area.
