The fruit/seed period of the golden currant runs from Summer to Fall. It si propogated by Bare root, Container, Seed and has a bloom period in Mid Spring.

In areas with an annual rainfall of between 12 and 20 inches, you might find the golden currant, which is Native to OR.

Known as having a Medium drought tolerance, the golden currant (Ribes aureum) is in the Currant family. It requires a minimum temperature of -38°F.

Not every plant species listed as a food forest candidate in Oregon will thrive in your specific climate or area.
