In areas with an annual rainfall of between 12 and 100 inches, you might find the common barley, which is Introduced to OH.

Known as having a Medium drought tolerance, the common barley (Hordeum vulgare) is in the Grass family. It requires a minimum temperature of -43°F.

Not every plant species listed as a food forest candidate in Ohio will thrive in your specific climate or area.
