Many organic fertilizers are naturally occurring, but it takes work to turn compost into a fertilizer for your garden. You can also buy organic fertilizers that have been carefully made to give your garden the nutrients that it needs.

The beach plum (Prunus maritima) is in the Rose family. It’s drought tolerance is High and requires a minimum temperature of -33°F.
The beach plum is Native to MA. It requires precipitation between 36 and 60 inches of rain annually.
The beach plum is propogated by Bare root, Container, Cuttings, Seed. With a bloom period in Late Spring, the fruit/seed period begins in Summer and ends in Summer.
While a plant species may generally thrive and fruit in Massachusetts, you may be in a climate that isn’t optimal.
Consult your local garden supplier or continue researching in order to find plants, shrubs and ground cover that match your specific hardiness zone, rainfall and direct sun.
