Known as having a None drought tolerance, the Chickasaw plum (Prunus angustifolia) is in the Rose family. It requires a minimum temperature of -28°F.
In areas with an annual rainfall of between 18 and 45 inches, you might find the Chickasaw plum, which is Native to KY.
The fruit/seed period of the Chickasaw plum runs from Summer to Summer. It si propogated by Bare root, Container, Seed and has a bloom period in Early Spring.
Not every plant species listed as a food forest candidate in Kentucky will thrive in your specific climate or area.
