The fruit/seed period of the gooseberry currant runs from Summer to Fall. It si propogated by Bare root, Container, Cuttings, Seed and has a bloom period in Early Summer.
Known as having a High drought tolerance, the gooseberry currant (Ribes montigenum) is in the Currant family. It requires a minimum temperature of -3°F.
In areas with an annual rainfall of between 10 and 35 inches, you might find the gooseberry currant, which is Native to ID.
Not every plant species listed as a food forest candidate in Idaho will thrive in your specific climate or area.
