Known as having a Low drought tolerance, the Atlantic camas (Camassia scilloides) is in the Lily family. It requires a minimum temperature of -28°F.
In areas with an annual rainfall of between 30 and 55 inches, you might find the Atlantic camas, which is Native to DC.
Not every plant species listed as a food forest candidate in D.C. will thrive in your specific climate or area.
