Introduced to CT, the alfalfa is common in food forests. It grows in areas with a minimum of 12 inches of annual rainfall.
Propogated by Seed, the alfalfa enjoys a bloom period in Spring. the fruit/seed period runs from Summer to Summer.
You may live in a micro-climate or area of Connecticut where some species don’t thrive or fruit.
