The lingonberry (Vaccinium vitis-idaea) is in the Heath family. It’s drought tolerance is Low and requires a minimum temperature of -62°F.
The lingonberry is Native to BC. It requires precipitation between 10 and 276 inches of rain annually.
While a plant species may generally thrive and fruit in British Columbia, you may be in a climate that isn’t optimal.
Consult your local garden supplier or continue researching in order to find plants, shrubs and ground cover that match your specific hardiness zone, rainfall and direct sun.
