In areas with an annual rainfall of between 16 and 80 inches, you might find the Texas redbud, which is Native to TX.

Known as having a High drought tolerance, the Texas redbud (Cercis canadensis var. texensis) is in the Pea family. It requires a minimum temperature of -8°F.

Not every plant species listed as a food forest candidate in Texas will thrive in your specific climate or area.
