The chokecherry is propogated by Bare root, Container, Seed. With a bloom period in Mid Spring, the fruit/seed period begins in Summer and ends in Summer.
The chokecherry is Native to MI. It requires precipitation between 13 and 65 inches of rain annually.
While a plant species may generally thrive and fruit in Michigan, you may be in a climate that isn’t optimal.
Consult your local garden supplier or continue researching in order to find plants, shrubs and ground cover that match your specific hardiness zone, rainfall and direct sun.
