In areas with an annual rainfall of between 0 and 0 inches, you might find the nodding waternymph, which is Native to CT.
Known as having a None drought tolerance, the nodding waternymph (Najas flexilis) is in the Water-nymph family. It requires a minimum temperature of 47°F.
The fruit/seed period of the nodding waternymph runs from Summer to Fall. It si propogated by Seed, Sprigs and has a bloom period in Late Summer.
Not every plant species listed as a food forest candidate in Connecticut will thrive in your specific climate or area.
