The rosemary is Introduced to CA. It requires precipitation between 14 and 45 inches of rain annually.
The rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) is in the Mint family. It’s drought tolerance is High and requires a minimum temperature of -3°F.
While a plant species may generally thrive and fruit in California, you may be in a climate that isn’t optimal.
Consult your local garden supplier or continue researching in order to find plants, shrubs and ground cover that match your specific hardiness zone, rainfall and direct sun.
