The bitternut hickory is propogated by Bare root, Container, Seed. With a bloom period in Mid Spring, the fruit/seed period begins in Summer and ends in Fall.

The bitternut hickory is Native to MA. It requires precipitation between 25 and 70 inches of rain annually.

While a plant species may generally thrive and fruit in Massachusetts, you may be in a climate that isn’t optimal.

Consult your local garden supplier or continue researching in order to find plants, shrubs and ground cover that match your specific hardiness zone, rainfall and direct sun.
